Brave and Chrome not synching

Apologies if this was asked before but if it was, I don't seem to be able to find it hence my question.

Brave and Chrome do not seem to be synching between two laptops.
Chrome is synching fine but not Brave, settings are the same (Google Drive) meaning same account uid / password combo..

The only difference I see is that for Brave, bookmarks folder is set to /Bookmarks/ but for Chrome bookmarks folder is set to /Bookmarks bar/ and they cannot be renamed. I see no reason why they shouldn't sync but they don't.

Is there a way to make Brave sync with Chrome, thanks very much in advance.
