The debugger in the python extension no longer supports python versions minor than 3.8

Getting this error when I start debugging even though I have python 3.10 installed and selected

$ ./.venv/bin/python --version # I executed command in same folder as current VSCode project, I double-checked
Python 3.10.16

Windows 10 WSL w/ Ubuntu 24

I don't get the error when selecting a different python version

This happens with both extension versions 2024.2 and latest

@Almenon Is the error a notification? Can you share a screen shot or logs with that error?
